Privacy & Information Collection
- User accounts and uploads are not permitted on this site. As such, no personal information is collected unless a party leaves a comment on the blog or sends a message through the contact form.
- If someone leaves a comment on the blog, the site collects the data shown on the form alongside the IP address and the browser user agent string.
- An anonymized string created from the email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to confirm registration. If the user is registered, Gravatar profile pictures will be visible to the public once a comment is approved. Use of the Gravatar service means consent to its user guidelines.
- Users may opt in to saving name, email address, and web site using cookies. These are strictly for convenience, to avoid the need to fill in details again if the user leaves another comment. Under most circumstances these cookies will last for a year.
- The site may also use cookies or similar technologies for anonymous traffic measurement and analytics.
- If someone sends a message through the contact form, the site collects the data shown on that form alongside the IP address. No other information is collected.
- This information is used to review the message itself and, if necessary, send a response.

- Comments and contacts from bots and automated artificial intelligence applications are also not welcome.
- All comments and contacts, as well as Gravatar avatars, should be appropriate for general audiences. We strongly prefer no use of profanity.
- Comments and contacts containing threats, doxxing, bullying, stalking, or other illegal and unethical items will be reported to the appropriate authorities for potential further action.
- Those who submit such contacts or comments will also be permanently banned from submitting any further messages.
- Please feel free to submit suggestions about blog posts or additional content for the site. However, at the moment, we are not accepting proposals for guest posts written by third parties.
- If Contentnea Creek Books has reason to believe that a contact or comment has been submitted by someone under the age of 13, the comment will not be approved and the form contents will not be quoted. However, we can’t be held responsible if someone conceals or misrepresents their age.
- Comments are moderated the first time a user posts, and may be moderated again at our discretion or after your annual cookies expire.
- The decision to approve or decline a comment is entirely that of Contentnea Creek Books, and those decisions are final.
